Franklin county Commission meets Tuesday in Apalachicola

Franklin County commissioners have a long agenda when they meet Tuesday in Apalachicola.

The county commission will hold a public hearing on the “leave no trace” ordinance, which would allow the county to remove items like tents and chairs left on the beach overnight.

Commissioners will also open bids for drainage and security work at the Apalachicola airport and hold a public hearing on possible community development block grant projects.

The county will also hear an update from Weems memorial Hospital, discuss renovation work at the Armory in Apalachicola, and get an update on military training in the area.

In the afternoon the county commission will meet with its labor attorney to discuss possible changes in the compensation schedule for county workers.

You can see the full agenda below.

The county commission meeting begins at 9 Am at the Franklin county Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
