The US Forest Service has temporarily closed
the Pine Creek Landing boat ramp on the Apalachicola National Forest .
The boat ramp is part of the Pine Creek landing campground
in northern Wakulla County .
Pine Creek Landing is still open to foot traffic and
bank fishing, but the boat ramp currently poses a safety threat to potential
users because of damage caused by the flowing river underneath the
structure.
The Forest Service took immediate action to ensure the ramp
is closed until it can be repaired.
There is no estimate yet as to how long it will take to
repair the ramp.
People wishing to access the Ochlocknee River can still launch their boat at Whitehead Lake , Porter Lake , Mack Landing and Wood Lake boat ramps.

Office at 926-3561.
