Local group trying to open fitness center in Apalachicola

A local group is trying to reopen a gym in Apalachicola.

The privately owned gym recently closed its doors, so members are looking for help in opening the "Forgotten Coast Fitness & Wellness Center" at the former Apalachicola High School on 14th Street in Apalachicola.

The group has approval from the City of Apalachicola and Franklin's Promise Coalition to lease space at the site and hopes to have enough money collected by March the 17th.

If they can get enough members, the center could be open by the end of the month.

3 month memberships are 105 dollars.
