Webinar on Community Rating System on Tuesday

The Community Rating System (CRS) provides reduced premiums for flood
insurance policy holders
in communities that implement programs and activities
that exceed the minimum criteria for participation in the National Flood Insurance
Program. If your community conducts floodplain mapping, regulatory, loss
reduction, emergency management, and/or public information activities, you
could benefit from this program.

Come learn about CRS Basics Credit Points and Classes, Costs and Benefits, Where to Get Help, and How to Apply.  This webinar is for people new to the Community Rating System (CRS), especially
from communities that are not yet in the program. The target audience is local
officials, floodplain managers, and members of the public interested in flood
protection.
This program is being hosted by the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research
Reserve – Coastal Training Program, Carrabelle Waterfronts Partnership and
Franklin County Library Carrabelle Branch.  The  webinar on the Introduction to the Community Rating System will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 12:45 – 2:15 PMat the Carrabelle Branch Library Meeting Room.
