WFSU to premiere new film on Saturday in Apalachicola

WFSU will premier an original film this weekend in Apalachicola.

The program, called “In the Grass, on the Reef : Oyster Doctors” will have its  world premiere at 4 PM on Saturday at the Ft. Coombs Armory in Apalachicola.

The production follows four years of research into the ecology of the coast.

It focuses on the research of two Florida State University marine ecologists. Dr. David Kimbro and Dr. Randall Hughes as they study coastal ecosystems and their investigation into the Apalachicola Bay oyster fishery collapse.

The premiere will be followed by an informal Q&A with Dr. Randall Hughes.
