American Legion Post 106 offering 500 dollar reward for information about air conditioner theft

Two air conditioning units were stolen Saturday night from the American Legion post 106 in Apalachicola and the post is now offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the thieves.

The post said two 5-ton air conditioning units were taken from behind the building sometime Saturday night.

The thieves also damaged the breaker box for the units by hitting it with a heavy object, and then basically cut the lines going to the AC units.

They believe the units were stolen so they could be sold to a scrap yard.

The American Legion is offering a 500 dollar reward that leads to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for the theft.
