Lane closure expected between Eastpoint and Carrabelle on Tuesday

Driving between Eastpoint and Carrabelle will take a little longer than usual on Tuesday.

The westbound lane of Highway 98 will be closed approximately two miles east of Highway 65 most of the day Tuesday while crews repair the cross drain headwall and pipe that was damaged during a traffic accident.

The lane closure will likely be in effect from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. so remember to expect some delays.

All construction activities are weather dependent and motorists are reminded to pay attention and use caution when driving through the work zone.
