Construction Work Concludes on State Road 30A in Gulf County
Chipley- Construction crews have completed work on the State Road (S.R.) 30A improvement project in Gulf County. Construction began in September 2013 to mill and resurface a 6.8 mile segment of S.R. 30A between U.S. 98 and S.R. 30E (Cape San Blas Road).
Other work on the $13.2 million project included widening the existing travel lanes to 11-feet, adding a five-foot shoulder on each side of the roadway, improving drainage, and upgrading the bridge rail and guard rail on the Simmons Bayou Bridge.
