Parks and Rec director arrested for stealing from little league football program

Franklin County’s Director of Parks and Recreation was arrested this week on charges of stealing from the local youth football program.
Nikki Millender, who has headed the department since 2012, was arrested Tuesday after admitting to the theft.
Sheriff’s officials began the investigation on November 14th after parents voiced concerns about their Youth Football Registration fees which were collected by the Franklin County Parks and Recreation Department.
Franklin County Detectives retrieved copies of the deposits made by the Director of Parks and Recreation and found the money deposited by Mrs. Millender didn't correspond with the number of children registered to participate.
The Sheriff’s office says that when she was questioned about the discrepancies, Miss Millender confessed to taking the cash registration fees for the 2013 and 2014 youth football seasons.

She was Millender with two counts of Grand Theft third degree.
