Public asked to comment on reaccreditation of FWC

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is currently seeking reaccreditation from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, and the public is invited to offer their comments on the issue.
This voluntary process is a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.
A team of CFA assessors will examine all aspects of the FWC’s policies and procedures, management, operations and support services.
The FWC has to comply with approximately 259 standards to receive reaccreditation status.
As part of the assessment, the general public can offer comments on the agency’s ability to comply with the standards.
A copy of the accreditation standards is available on-line at http://www.flaccreditation.org/
Your comments can be submitted on-line info@flaccreditation.org.
If the CFA determines that the Fish and Wildlife Commission has complied with the appropriate standards, the reaccreditation will be active for three years.
