Pace Family wins trip to Franklin County

Cathy and Scott Denny, school teachers from Pace Florida, were the winners of the Salty New Year's Getaway Vacation package sponsored recently by the Franklin County Tourist Development Council (FCTDC). The Dennys' enjoyed a beachfront New Year's Eve  vacation on St. George Island along with meals and tickets to visit the historic Cape St. George Lighthouse. The TDC sponsored the contest last fall in coordination with Resort Vacation Properties and restaurants and tourism businesses on St. George Island. The winner was chosen December 15 from nearly 1000 entries. The vacation package, valued at approximately $1,000, is the first in a series of vacation package promotions planned for 2015. "We're pleased with the contest response and more than glad to host happy visitors to our area," says Pinki Jackel, TDC chairman. Tourism businesses interested in partnering with the TDC to sponsor upcoming contest promotions are encouraged to contact the TDC office at 850-670-3474.
