For Immediate Release December 1, 2014      Recreational Gag Grouper to Close in Federal Waters    The Gulf of Mexico  Fishery Management Council reminds recreational fishermen the gag season closes at 12:01 A.M. (local time) December 3, 2013. Any recreationally caught gag must be landed by this time. The harvest of gag will remain closed until July 1, 2015.   About Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council is one of eight regional Fishery Management Councils established by the Fishery Conservation and Management Act of 1976.
