The blood mobile will be in Apalachicola at Weems Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 16th from 10am to 3pm.
All donors will receive a FREE t-shirt, plus a wellness checkup, including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening. Appointments may be made online at www.oneblooddonor.org (sponsor code:27900).

Interested in quitting tobacco in 2015? “Tools to Quit” is a FREE session!
The Tools to Quit program is a FREE two-hour tobacco cessation program held to assist those using any form of tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, snuff, dip, etc.) with quitting. Nicotine replacement therapy (nicotine patches, gum, etc.) are FREE and are provided to active participants. Notice to Former Patients of Franklin Mobile Medicine, Inc.
As the medical record custodian of Franklin Mobile Medicine, Inc. (Dr. Nancy Chorba from 2003 to 2008), Weems Memorial Hospital is offering all former patients the opportunity to pick up their medical records through April 1, 2015. Anyone interested should make arrangements by calling the hospital at(850)653-8853. After April 1, 2015, the remaining patient records will be destroyed.

It’s open enrollment again for Affordable Care Act health insurance! To assist residents in signing up, John Tremont with the Florida Health Connector will be on site at Weems Hospital every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am to 2pm, starting November 18, 2014 through January 28, 2015.
