The Realtor
Association of Franklin and Gulf Counties is making it easier to donate to
local charities and help local people in need.
Over the past few
years the group held a successful Christmas food drive but decided this year to
start a program that can help people year-round.
The Realtor
Association has set up an online site that gives people the ability to donate
throughout the year and choose where their donation goes; Franklin's Promise,
People Helping People in Gulf County or both.
The goal is to raise
at least $1,000 per quarter and present a quarterly check to each of the
charities.
Donated money should
also go further than donated food because the food banks have the ability to
turn cash into food at a rate that individuals can't match and the food that can be bought by the food bank
with cash donations not only costs less but it is much easier for food banks to
manage.
You can get more
information or make a donation at the Realtor
Association of Franklin and Gulf Counties website at www.rafgc.com.
