Telemarketers top Florida's 2014 complaint list

Telemarketers violating Florida’s Do Not Call list topped the list of consumer complaints in 2014.

The Department of Agriculture received over 18 thousand complaints last year about the Do Not Call List violations.

That’s down 4 percent from 2013.

2nd place, with only 2200 complaints, were fuel issues.

Cable TV complaints came third, followed by telemarketing in general and motor vehicle sales.

Consumers filed more than 44,000 complaints with the department’s consumer assistance center in 2014.
