County
department heads and supervisors will get an education on how to deal with
downed power lines.
County Commissioners have asked
that all Department heads take part in a half-hour program through Duke Energy
called “Live Line and Storm Preparedness.”
The program is designed for
public employees who may have to respond during emergency situations where there
could be downed power lines – particularly those with Public Works, Parks and
Recreation, Emergency Management, and Solid Waste.
The program will be held on April
30th at the Franklin County school.
