The US Forest Service has named Kelly Russell as the new forest
supervisor of the National Forests in Florida.
The National Forests in Florida
are comprised of four separate Forests, including the Apalachicola, the
Choctawhatchee, the Ocala and the Osceola National forests.
The Forest Service said Kelly is an experienced forest
supervisor and will help in working with their partners to restore forests and
provide recreation opportunities and a wide range of other services for
citizens and communities.
She reports to her new position in Tallahassee on April 6th.
Russell is a native of Alabama and grew up in Panama City.
She worked in the Southern Region for the first 24 years of her
federal career.
