Local unemployment fell in February

Unemployment in Franklin County fell from 5.7 to 5.1 percent in February.
Labor statistics released last week show 246 people looking for work in Franklin County in February; 30 fewer than in January.
The workforce also increased by 6 people.
Nine counties had lower unemployment rates than Franklin County in February.
Unemployment in Gulf County fell from 6 to 5.6 percent.
340 people were looking for work in Gulf County in February.
Wakulla County continues to have one of the lowest unemployment rates in Florida at 4.6 percent - in Liberty County unemployment fell from 6.2 to 5.8 percent.
