Franklin County Commissioners this week
approved a resolution of appreciation for long-time employee Rachel Ward who is
retiring from her job with the county this month.
Mrs.
Ward is retiring on May the 15th.
She
has worked for Franklin County for 35 years.
Mrs.
Ward was not at the meeting to accept the resolution, so County Commissioner Smokey
Parrish accepted it for her.
He
said she has been a very good employee for this county for 35 years and was
very active on a number of different fronts.
She
was a certified building inspector and took care of the flood mitigation issues
and a lot of other jobs the public was unaware of.
