Carrabelle Unveils Fish Display

Carrabelle Hosts Ribbon Cutting for Fish Display on Thursday July 30
A unique interpretative fish display complete with professional mounted species and resource information will be unveiled at an official ribbon cutting 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30 in Carrabelle.
The display, located along the Carrabelle Riverfront, was produced in cooperation with the Franklin County Tourist Development Council, City of Carrabelle, Carrabelle CRA and Carrabelle Chamber with help from a Visit Florida grant. Representatives from the Carrabelle Chamber, City of Carrabelle, TDC and other invited dignitaries will be on hand to dedicate the display at 11 a.m.
The Franklin County Tourist Development Council (FCTDC), in cooperation with the several Carrabelle groups and with assistance from Visit Florida recently constructed the informative marine display of area fish species along the Carrabelle waterfront. The purpose of the project was to identify the varied fish available in the Franklin County region and lead the visitor to the businesses that can show them off.  The display features  fiberglass fish replicas of area waters and features QR codes to sites such as FWC, Franklin County Tourist Development Council and the Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce websites.  Additional enhancements to follow in the coming months.
