CRAWFORDVILLE TRAFFIC STOP NETS 98.5 GRAMS OF MARIJUANA. CARRABELLE MAN ARRESTED ON NARCOTICS CHARGES. DRIVER HAD AN OUTSTANDING FRANKLIN WARRANT.





On July 16, Deputy Alan Middlebrooks and Deputy Ethan Ard conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with an expired tag on Crawfordville Highway. During the traffic stop the strong odor of marijuana was detected inside the vehicle.

The driver, Rodney Dwayne Green, Jr., 31, of Carrabelle, had an active warrant out of Franklin County. He was arrested on the warrant. A search of the vehicle discovered bags of marijuana inside a bucket. The vehicle also contained drug paraphernalia and an ink pen with white powdery residue.

Lonnie Nathan Crum, 26, of Carrabelle was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell; possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Green was also issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle with an expired tag. The marijuana weighed 98.5 grams.

Deputy Middlebrooks also seized $565.95 of U.S. currency and the Crum owned vehicle, a 2004 GMC. Deputy Matt Hedges also investigated.
