Do you have ideas about how Florida’s marine
fisheries should be managed?
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission wants to hear from you and they have scheduled a workshop in
Carrabelle tomorrow to give you a chance to speak out.
The FWC wants to hear from all types of people
including commercial and recreational fishermen, wholesale dealers, those in
the tourism industry, fishing guides, divers and concerned citizens.
The FWC would like to hear what the public
thinks the commission is doing right, where they see opportunities for
improvement, and what they think should be the state’s top priorities for
marine fisheries management.
At the meetings, staff will provide a brief
presentation about statewide and regional fisheries management issues that are
being worked on and other potential issues that have been brought to the
state’s attention.
Then they will listen to public comment.
The workshop will be on Tuesday, July the 28th
from 6 till 8 Pm at the Carrabelle Municipal Complex.
