Southerland says he won't run for congress in 2016

Former Congressman Steve Southerland announced Tuesday that he will not run for congress again next year.

Steve Southerland represented our District for two terms before being defeated last year by Gwen Graham.

Southerland said that “after great thought he’s decided not to be a candidate for Congress in 2016 and he believes it's time for someone else to have the opportunity to serve.

He added that he appreciates the words of encouragement his family has received from people across North and Northwest Florida.
