Some new reef
material went down in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Carrabelle on Sunday. A company called Walter Marine deployed 26 prefabricated reef modules weighing about 92 tons as
an addition to the Nicholas Cureton Memorial reef. That reef sits about 10 miles southeast of Carrabelle in 45 to 55 feet of
water. The entire artificial reef system is now nearly a mile long and 600 feet
wide.
