Florida’s annual
back-to-school sales tax holiday begins this Friday.
This year, shoppers will have until August 16th
to purchase back to school items without paying the state sales tax.
As in previous tax holidays, clothing
and shoes up to $75 are tax exempt, along with school supplies up to $15.
Personal computers and accessories
selling for up to $750 are also tax free.
That includes any electronic book
reader, laptop, desktop, handheld, tablet, or tower computer, but does not
include cellphones, video game consoles, digital media receivers, or devices
that are not primarily designed to process data.
You can see a full list of tax free items posted at
oysterradio.com and on the Oyster Radio facebook page.
