Governor
Rick Scott last week named one new member and re-appointed two others to the Northwest
Florida Transportation Corridor Authority.
James Anders of Seacrest Beach and Carey Scott of
Panama City were reappointed to the board; Peter Bos of Destin was named to
final a vacant spot on the board.
All of the members will serve through August of 2017.
The 8 member Transportation
Corridor Authority was created by the legislature in 2005 to develop a master
plan for US Highway 98.
That plan is supposed to focus on
reducing congestion, increasing safety, stimulating local economies and
providing better hurricane evacuation.
Franklin County’s representative
on the board is County Commissioner Cheryl Sanders.
