SGI Woman seriously injured in early morning crash

`A St. George Island woman was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident in Eastpoint early Saturday morning.
The Highway patrol said 25 year old Martha Wynot was taken to Bay Medical center with serious injuries after hitting a culvert on Patton Road.
Miss Wynot was westbound on Patton Road around 12:30 Saturday morning when she drove off the roadway and hit the culvert.
Her 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse then went airborne and collided with a second culvert, which detached the right front wheel from the vehicle.
The vehicle then rotated on its nose and crashed to the ground on its passenger side.
Miss Wynot was ejected from the vehicle when the Mitsubishi made its final collision with the ground.
The highway patrol says she is in stable condition with serious facial injuries.

They are still investigating whether the accident was alcohol related.
