Former
Franklin County Supervisor of Election Ida
Elliot was recognized Tuesday for her years of service to the community.
Mrs.
Elliot is facing health issues – she retired from office in June when she felt
she could no longer do the job.
Ida
spent 36 years with the Supervisor’s office and was elected Supervisor in 2009.
On
Tuesday Mrs. Elliot was recognized at the Franklin county commission meeting.
She
could not attend, but her daughter Samantha did.
Florida
Secretary of State Ken Detzner was also able to attend by phone – and he
praised Mrs. Elliot for her great public service and the great job she has done
for the people of Franklin county and Florida.
Mrs.
Elliot was also provided a plaque from the Secretary of State office in
recognition of Mrs. Elliot’s public service.
