Local unemployment drops slightly in September

Unemployment in Franklin County fell slightly in September.
Local unemployment dropped from 4.4 percent to 4.3 percent last month – giving Franklin County the third lowest unemployment rate out of Florida’s 67 counties.
Labor statistics released last week show 208 people were looking for work in Franklin County in September; 8 fewer than in August.
The workforce also decreased by 35 people.
Gulf County unemployment fell from 5.1 to 4.8 percent.
304 people were looking for work in Gulf County in September.
Unemployment in Wakulla County fell to 4.4 percent, in Liberty county unemployment fell to 5.3 percent.
