Ethics complaints against Franklin County Commissioner Noah Lockley dismissed for no probable cause

The Florida Commission on Ethics has dismissed a complaint against Franklin County Commissioner Noah Lockley.

The complaint was filed last January by Allan Feifer from Alligator Point.

Mister Feifer is the president of the Concerned Citizens of Franklin County.

The complaint included a number of claims including that Commissioner Lockley was advanced money to attend conferences that he didn’t attend and that he didn't pay back the money.

The complaint also said Commissioner Lockley pressured Weems Memorial Hospital to hire family members and lower the bills of family friends.

On October 23rd, however, the Florida Commission on Ethics said it found no probable cause to believe that Commissioner Lockely misused County resources regarding his attendance at conferences and meetings or that he misused County resources at his residence.

They also found no probable cause that he misused his position to get preferential treatment for himself and others at the local hospital.

The Ethics commission also found no probable cause on complaints that Commissioner Lockley misused his position to participate in a program after the BP oil spill; or that he voted on a measure related to the oil spill that brought him private gain.
