Visit a Florida State Park on Thusanksgiving

Don’t forget that almost all of Florida’s State Parks are open today.

Most of the 171 Florida state parks and trails are open normal hours of 8 a.m. to sunset on Thanksgiving Day, giving your family a great place to spend the day outdoors and maybe work off some of your holiday feast with a bike ride or a hike.

Or you can just go fishing.

Locally the John Gorrie Museum and the Orman House in Apalachicola are closed as is the Constitution Convention museum in Port St. Joe.

But you’ve still got The St. George Island State Park and The Bald Point State Park in Franklin county as well as the Ochlocknee River State Park And Wakulla Springs in Wakulla County.

And don’t forget the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park in Gulf County.
