Camp Gordon Johnston Museum to dedicate historical marker on Thursday

The Camp Gordon Johnston World War 2 Museum will hold a formal dedication of its new historical marker on Thursday, December the 3rd.
The Historical Marker stands on a museum owned lot at 1873 Highway 98 West near Carrabelle Beach.
The property was used to train US Forces for the invasion of Normandy, Italy, North Africa and the Pacific Theater.
The Florida Heritage marker was sponsored by Camp Gordon Johnston Association and The Florida Department of State.
The museum is currently located at the Carrabelle Municipal Complex but because of the deteriorating condition of the complex, the museum is trying to find the money to move to the new location.

The dedication of the historical market will take place on December 3rd at 10 AM.
