The comment period for the Master Water Control Manual for the Apalachicola Chattahoochee Flint River System is still open

The comment period for the Master Water Control Manual for the Apalachicola Chattahoochee Flint River System is still open.

The comment deadline period ends on January 15th.

The Mobile District of the USACE extended the comment period by 45 days to the various stakeholders an opportunity to completely review the documents.

The Master Water Control Manual is the guide used by Corps of Engineers to operate the five reservoirs on the Chattahoochee River.
The proposed manual has received a lot of criticism from Florida officials because it does not require enough freshwater flow to protect the Apalachicola Bay and its oyster industry.
If you would like to see the proposed master water control manual for yourself, just follow the link we’ve posted on this story at oysterradio.com and on the Oyster radio facebook page.
