Volunteers needed for photovoice research study

The Franklin’s Promise Coalition and The University of Arizona are looking for people to take part in a research study about the social impacts of the Deepwater Horizon disaster and its effects on community vulnerability and resiliency.

The photovoice project is a photography based study that will include discussions about the community in group sessions consisting of 8 to 10 participants.

If you want to take part in the study you have to commit to weekly meetings for 6-weeks, and must be willing to actively complete the photo assignments given for each week.

Camera equipment will be provided for the length of the project.

Participants that complete the entire study will be compensated for their involvement.

I(f you want to take part there will be an orientation meeting to discuss the details on Thursday, January 7th at 630 at the Franklin’s Promise Offices, located in the old Apalachicola High School.

An application will be provided at the orientation meeting.

You can also contact Franklin’s Promise at 653-3930.
