Volunteers needed for Farmshare program

Franklin County Commission chairman William Massey is requesting Farmshare to make an additional trip to Franklin County during the month of February. 

Farmshare is a program that provides food and other goods to Franklin County residents in need.

The service is especially important to oystermen at this time because the Apalachicola Bay has been closed for oyster harvesting for about a month. 

Commissioner Massey is asking for volunteers to assist with packing and distributing the food.

Commissioner Massey will discuss this event further at the Board of County Commission regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 9am in the Commission Meeting Room located at 34 Forbes Street in Apalachicola.
