The state of Florida is making it
easier to apply for a concealed weapon license.
The
Department of Agriculture announced this week that people applying for a concealed
weapon license can now schedule an appointment on-line.
The new
scheduling feature is only available to people seeking their first concealed
weapon license.
Consumers
can also still apply for a concealed weapon license via mail, but a scheduled
appointment is required before applying in-office.
The on-line
service allows people to schedule appointments at one of the Florida Department
of Agriculture’s eight regional offices including the one in Tallahassee.
To
access the scheduling feature, visit FreshFromFlorida.com/cw, and click on the nearest regional office.
The
site will redirect to an informational page providing details including office
location, hours of operation, and the scheduling calendar.
Once
the appointment is confirmed, a reminder will be sent 48 hours prior to the
appointment via phone call, text or email.
