SEVERE STORMS AND FLOOD THREAT THURSDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY SATURDAY

The severe threat looks to be greatest on Friday, during which time the primary impacts will be damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.

With the system expected to be slow moving, the potential exists for heavy rain across the region, especially on Friday. Storm total rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are possible, with isolated heavier totals, as outlined in the attached briefing packet. This will create the potential for flash flooding and additional river flooding across the area.
