The Wakulla County Commission is looking for input
from its citizens on a One Cent Sales Tax Extension.
The
One Cent Sales Tax was first adopted in 1987 and is renewed every 15 years.
The
tax provides funding for road infrastructure, public safety, public facilities
and public parks and recreation.
The
tax ends this year, but Wakulla County voters will decide in November if they
want to extend the tax for another 15 years.
Wakulla
County staff has developed a survey so citizens can give their ideas about the
funding levels of future projects.
If
you would like to take the survey, it can be found at mywakulla.com.
There
will be a public workshop on the issue on Tuesday, March 29th at 6PM
at the One Stop community Center on Shadeville Highway in Crawfordville.
