The
Gulf County Sheriff’s office is asking for help in locating a suspect in an
arson case.
They are seeking 41 year old Gene
Allen Porter – you can see his picture on-line at oysterradio.com.
Porter is wanted in connection
with a Friday morning house fire in the Beacon Hill area of gulf County.
Gulf County Sheriff Mike Harrison
said his department received a complaint regarding a domestic disturbance at
9160 Cockles Avenue on April the 8th.
The caller stated threats were
made to burn the residence.
When the deputy arrived, he found
the residence already engulfed in flames.
Porter had fled the scene prior
to the arrival of law enforcement.
Gulf County Beaches Fire
Department, the Highland View Fire Department and the Mexico Beach Fire
Department responded and extinguished the fire.
Luckily no one was injured.
Porter is now wanted for Arson in
Gulf County and is also wanted in Bay County for Felony Domestic Battery on an
unrelated case investigated by the Mexico Beach Police Department.
