The FSU Coastal & Marine Laboratory Great Give Is On!

Great Give Now Open Florida State University Great Give Campaign  9AM Thursday April 14 - 9PM Friday April 15 It is time for the Florida State University Great Give Campaign - a 36-hr opportunity for you to show your support through online giving.     The Florida State University Coastal & Marine Laboratory Campaign is the Restoration of its Longleaf-Slash Pine community. Recognizing the intimate connection between land and sea, we are deeply engaged in restoring a 25-acre stand of longleaf pine and slash pine trees through which meanders a freshwater stream, connecting the forest to the waterfront. Restoring this stand will encourage the return of the biologically diverse array of plants and wildlife normally associated with fire maintained forests in this region.    Your donation to this project will ensure the timely preparation for and completion of the first prescribed burn in a safe and effective manner. This preparation is the precursor to re-establishing native and rare plants in the understory.           Incentives to Donate If you donate on Thursday, April 14th, between 8 pm and 10 pmyou could help us receive an additional $1,000 through the  "Prime Time Passion" incentive program.  Donate Now
