Today is tax freedom day on Florida

Today is tax freedom day in Florida, that’s the day in which the average Floridian will have earned enough money to pay his or her federal, state, and local taxes.

The date assumes that every dollar earned from the start of 2016 went to pay taxes at all levels of government.

Tax freedom Day in Florida comes the same day that it did last year – The National tax freedom day is on April 24^th.

Florida celebrates tax freedom day before 21 other states and the nation as a whole, in part due to the fact that Florida is one of seven states without a state income tax.

Mississippi celebrated its tax freedom day on April the 5^th; residents in Connecticut will celebrate on May the 21^st.
