The
recreational red snapper season opens in state waters of the Gulf of Mexico on
Saturday.
The 2016 recreational red snapper season in Gulf of Mexico state waters
opens Saturdays and Sundays in May starting May 7th.
On May
28th, the season will open continuously through July 10.
Fishermen will get 78 days to target red snapper in state waters this
year.
The recreational red snapper season in federal waters will run June 1st
through the 9th this year.
