Correctional Officer Arrested Following OIG Investigation




CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. –The Florida Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General (OIG) last night arrested Correctional Officer Sergeant Vivian Roath following an OIG criminal investigation. Roath has been charged with Introduction of Contraband into a State Correctional Institution, Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a State Correctional Institution and Sexual Misconduct.

Following the arrest, OIG inspectors transported Roath to the Wakulla County Jail. The Florida Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office in the 2nd Judicial Circuit.
