Advisory: TROPICAL STORM COLIN ADVISORY & VOLUNTARY EVACUATION NOTICE FOR AREAS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY


Franklin County has issued a VOLUNTARY EVACUATION NOTICE starting at 8:00am on Monday June 6, 2016 for:
• Alligator Point, Bald Point – Storm Surge of 2-4ft + High Tide of 3.1ft = Possible Storm Surge of up to 8ft.
• All Low –Lying Areas Subject to Tidal Flooding
• RV Parks – Tropical Storm Force Winds are predicted to begin at 10:00am

Franklin County Emergency Management continues at a level 3 of monitoring at this time.

Tropical Storm Colin is currently moving north at 12mph, but a turn to the northeast is expected within the next 24 hours.
Based on track uncertainty at this time, continue to monitor local radio and NOAA for updates.
Please take precautions of securing boats, outdoor furniture, latching personal items down, etc.
With Tropical Storm Force Winds predicted to begin in Franklin County at10:00am, please make sure you have your needed supplies and are Sheltered in Place prior to this time.
