A
group called “The Brotherhood Ride” will make its way through Franklin County
next week with an overnight stop in Carrabelle.
The Brotherhood Ride is made up
of firefighters, law enforcement officers and EMS medical personnel who ride
bicycles to honor emergency first responders who have died in the line of duty.
The 2016 ride is being dedicated
to 5 Fallen heroes from Florida and one from Georgia who died in the line of
duty in 2015.
The group will honor them by
biking 80 to 100 miles a day through the state of Florida.
The trip should take a week.
The ride will start in North
Naples this Saturday and head through Arcadia, Lakeland, Ocala, Perry,
Carrabelle, and Panama City before ending in Fort Walton Beach on July the 29th.
The group will spend one night
next week at the Carrabelle Christian center.
The group does take donations
which directly
benefit the families of those they are honoring.
You can make a donation at their website at
www.brotherhoodride.com.
The site also allows you to follow the
riders as they travel across the state.
