U.S. 319 and U.S. 98 Intersection Project to Begin
Chipley, FL – Construction activities will begin Thursday, July 14 on a $3 million project to construct and realign the intersection of State Road (S.R.) 61 / U.S. 319 (Crawfordville Road) from S.R. 30 / U.S. 98 to north of Alaska Way. This project also includes the construction of sidewalks and bicycle lanes along both sides of Crawfordville Road, realignment of Crawfordville Road with U.S. 98 at 90 degrees, installation of a new traffic signal and signalized pedestrian crossings.
Initial work will take place at the intersection of S.R. 61 / U.S. 319 (Crawfordville Road) and S.R. 30 / U.S. 98. Access to driveways, businesses and other private properties will be maintained at all times. The project is scheduled for completion spring 2017.
Motorists may experience minor travel delays during construction activities as heavy equipment enters and exits the work zone. Drivers are reminded to use caution, watch for workers and equipment, and are advised to plan accordingly. All planned construction activities are weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
