Camp Gordon Johnston seeks donations to replace damaged roof

“Camp Gordon Johnston Post 82 in Lanark Village is in dire need of a new roof.  Wind storms this past summer further damaged the nearly 20 year old asphalt roof.  We are asking for donations of any amount to help defer the cost of a new metal roof.  All funds will be deposited into a separate “Roof Replacement Account” until we reach the amount needed.  Please make checks payable to The American Legion Post 82 and note on the check “Roof Replacement”.  Checks can be dropped off at the Post or mailed to P.O. Box 544CarrabelleFL 32322.
Our Post is very active in the community with the Tonya’s Hope Cancer Fund, Christmas for Nursing home veterans, Boys State and Girls State programs, weekly Farmshare distribution site and various other charitable fundraisers throughout the year.  Please help us continue our charitable work in a building with a sound roof.  Thank you for your support and generous donations.”
