FLORIDA FISH & WILDLIFE CONSERVATION COMMISSION
DIVISION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT
               NW Region/ Franklin County- Position 77070135

This position performs independent work assisting management in the handling and coordination of administrative functions in a Field Office of the Division of Law Enforcement.
Processes reports or requests generated by law enforcement officers to include, but not limited to JEA reports, work schedules, and vehicle and vessel logs.  Assist Administrative Assistant I with bi-weekly activity reports, off-duty employment requests, travel documents, address changes, law enforcement uniforms orders, and law enforcement supplies.
Serve as facility Evidence Custodian, ensuring the procedures and facility is in strict compliance with General Order 16.
Provides administrative support and maintains files for the Carrabelle Field Office.  Maintain records and files in accordance with State Statutes, agency policy, and standard office practices. Assists with special administrative projects and tasks as assigned by the Captain and Administrative Assistant I, to include but not limited to the development and preparation of various reports, analysis, and other management documents.
Assist with processing and maintaining files on citations and warnings.  Assist with issuing citation books and maintaining receipts.
Assists law enforcement personnel with questions regarding established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with State regulations, internal management policies and procedures, and procedures regarding administrative paperwork, budget, or clerical matters.  Disseminates information to field officers.
Meets and communicates with the public in a courteous and professional manner, disseminates information and assists with requests.  Schedules conference room.
Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.  Ability to read and understand applicable rules, regulations and directives.  Ability to communicate effectively with the public in a courteous manner.  Ability to use personal computer.  Ability to set up and organize office files.  Ability to work independently.  Knowledge of Personnel, Purchasing, and Finance & Accounting policies and procedures.
