Rock Landing Pier in Panacea closed due to safety concerns

 Wakulla County has closed the Rock Landing Pier in Panacea due to safety concerns. 

The pier will be closed indefinitely, however the boat ramp will remain open.

The action was taken after engineers found the concrete surface was cracking.

The pier is now closed to all pedestrian traffic. 

The pier had already been closed to vehicle traffic. 

The boat slips that are attached to the Pier are also closed. 

The boat ramp is the only thing that will remain open.
