NOW ACCEPTING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR EMT / PARAMEDIC STUDENTS

George E. Weems Memorial Hospital is now offering loan forgiveness scholarships to EMT / Paramedic students. To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements. 

1.  A completed scholarship application

2.  High School or College transcripts (B average / CGPA of 3.0 or above)

3.    Proof of acceptance to an EMT or Paramedic program which is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP)

4.  A letter of recommendation from a former teacher or employer

5.  A one page essay explaining why you should be awarded a scholarship

6.  A copy of your background report (Background reports are conducted by your school prior to final acceptance into the EMT or Paramedic program.) 

Scholarships will be awarded to a limited number of students.  The number of scholarships will be based on actual/projected staffing needs.
